Checking off the list

Today I put some finishing touches on the western pleasure set I've been working on for months. I don't think I'm completely happy with some minor issues but with two weeks left until my show I won't bother to change it. I still have to make bags and a double cinch for the pack set and then my performance sets should be set for my show!!

Sleigh Bell arrived yesterday after two months of waiting! He is beautiful! I have no idea what to call him and totally stumped on breed ideas

There are some other horses that Jake and I have both picked up in the last month but I've been way too busy to share them. I've packed up a majority of our show string and am ready to tidy up the details in the next two weeks!

Dolls!

I ordered three dolls from Field of Dolls a couple of weeks ago and today they arrived and WOW!

I've officially decided my racing set up is finished......It won't include the western pleasure rider so no worries there. I can't wait to put this on my painted Affinity!

I plan on using the western pleasure rider on Walter with the tan and brown flower set. I managed to braid the reins for it today and hope to get the stirrups made for it soon. I'm debating on throwing in one more western set I've made.....So much tack so little time......

Budweiser Team

While I was in Florida I was able to see the Budweiser team visit the area. They were travelling through and had a scheduled stop to let people come and see them. What a great opportunity for a chance to get great reference photos! For an almost wordless Tuesday here are some really great photos!

The horse on the right was in the 9/11 Budweiser commercial

Aww how cute are we?
Could this be a future project? Maybe when I have lots and lots of TIME!!!

Post Vacation

I'm back from Florida for a few days which means one thing: CLEANING! I'll be off to Traverse City on Friday for class so I doubt I will have time for tack. I did manage to make a list of things that I need to get done before the April 13th show....

1. Finish pack set
2. Finish police set
3. Finish flower set
4. Finish up trail base
5. Name, breed, and write up tags for the horses that don't have any
6. Buy more tubs for safe keeping
7. BATHS!
8. Eventually pack everyone up!

This seems like a lot to get done but it will be so much easier once this weekend is out of the way. The trees for my flower western pleasure set showed up while I was away so I should be set up to finish that up quickly. We also managed to come home with three more horses on the way back from picking up our animals from their Grandma's house....Jake bought his very first Breyer!! I'll try and post pictures of the Budweiser team that I saw in Florida and the new horses soon.
